All Public Transport bus routes start and end at the bus depot on Edward Street, where there is a Public Transport Inspector on duty to supervise all bus operations. The Public Transport system connects all districts of Grand Cayman, and the buses can be identified by numbers in a coloured circle. (See Map Below) Please note that the Public Transport buses are not a point to point service – that service is offered by taxis.
Using the bus system is easy as there are designated bus stops across the island. If your bus does not take you directly to your location, all you have to do is change buses at the depot and catch a bus that will take you to your final destination. The average fare is CI$2 per journey but can be as high as CI$5 for anywhere beyond Hutland Road, such as Rum Point and Cayman Kai.
